Types of Dentures
Flexible
Flexible
Flexible Dentures are a kind of partial denture, made up of a softer material than regular dentures. These dentures are made of a thin, versatile thermoplastic material, which eliminates the need for any metal frame. The benefits of flexible dentures are that they’re more comfortable, durable and camouflage with the gum and existing teeth more seamlessly.
Complete
Complete
Full Dentures, or Complete Dentures, are removable false teeth that can be used to replace missing teeth. The denture teeth are made out of porcelain or acrylic and held together by an acrylic base. Partial Dentures are similar but only used to replace some teeth, whilst a Complete Denture is a replacement for the full set. If you’re considering your false teeth options, full dentures may be needed when you lose all of your teeth and they can help fill out your appearance again, and leaving you feeling more confident to smile.
Partial
Partial
A Partial Denture usually consists of replacement teeth attached to a pink or gum-colored plastic base, which is sometimes connected by metal framework that holds the denture in place in the mouth. Partial Dentures are used when one or more natural teeth remain in the upper or lower jaw. Not only does a partial denture fill in the spaces created by missing teeth, it prevents other teeth from drifting over time and changing position. Partial Dentures usually have clasps attached, which are designed to fit comfortably around existing teeth to provide more support and sturdiness when the denture is worn.
